- Most military records are stored at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri and can also be requested through the National Archives.
- If you would like assistance in getting records from your military service, or that of a family member, feel free to contact my office. I will need your written authorization and a completed Request Pertaining to Military Records Form (SF 180) to help with this issue. To make that easier you can print the Privacy Release Form and a SF 180, and fax or mail the completed forms to my office.
- How can I apply for a medal, award, or decoration that I earned while in the service?
- Military medals are also an issue handled primarily through the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. However, it can be helpful to contact my office to get your medals.

- The Veterans Administration currently has many claims pending for various types of benefits. Because of that, many veterans feel that their case might be overlooked or handled improperly.
