At-home Testing Resources

Top things you need to know about at-home testing

  1. Starting January 15th, 2022 insurance companies and group health plans are required to cover the cost of over-the-counter, at-home COVID-19 test kits.

  2. This requirement incentivizes insurance companies to cover the up-front cost when purchasing the test kit, so there is no out-of-pocket cost. However, there is the option to get a reimbursement if the cost is not covered at the time of purchase.

  3. Insurance companies and health plans are required to cover 8 free tests per covered individual per month.

USPS COVID At-home Testing Program Update

Effective immediately, USPS will be sending at-home COVID testing kits to all registered home addresses, including PO Boxes.

***Please Note***

If you are having issues with receiving deliveries to your PO Box, it could be for the following reasons:

  1. You have already ordered tests to your home address

  2. Your PO Box is registered as a business

  • Unfortunately, tests will not be delivered to a business address. If you believe you should have received one, you will need to raise a service request with USPS or visit the USPS portal.

    • USPS will review the request and if it is in fact eligible, they will override the initial request and send one to the address specified.

The White House has specified that this program is only eligible to residential addresses.

  • General information from USPS can be found at At-Home COVID-19 Tests (usps.com)

    • If you have address specific issues please visit the USPS FAQ Page

    • If someone does not have access to a computer/internet,  they may call the fulfillment center at 1 (800) 232-0223 between 8:00 AM EST and Midnight (12:00 AM) EST

  • Shipping will take approx. 7-12 days.
