Washington D.C., January 16, 2014—Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) released a statement after voting in support of H.R. 3362, the Exchange Information Disclosure Act—a bill requiring the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to provide detailed reports and weekly enrollment numbers related to Healthcare.gov.
“Americans have seen the rollout of Healthcare.gov and Obamacare exchanges result in lost coverage, increased premiums, and high risk of security breaches,” said Schweikert.
"All the while, the Administration has refused to give the American people a full and accurate picture detailing what the real-time condition is of healthcare.gov. If you have nothing to hide then there is no reason why the Administration shouldn’t be willing to give lawmakers and working families the facts. The only way we can measure what’s working and what’s not is to have data and numbers, not rhetoric and creative accounting.”
