MEDIA ADVISORY: PCORI hosts congressional briefing on telehealth research results

WASHINGTON, DC—Join the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and members of the Congressional Telehealth Caucus for a breakfast briefing on the Hill, Thursday, April 18, 9-10 am (ET).

Hosted in coordination with the caucus, the event will highlight the telehealth portfolio of comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) and related projects PCORI has funded and will feature researchers sharing results from three CER studies comparing approaches to treatment leveraging telehealth for various conditions and populations.

Welcome remarks by PCORI Executive Director Nakela L. Cook, M.D., MPH, and U.S. Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.).

This convening presents an excellent opportunity to hear about the impact of telehealth research on mental health care, care for children and treatment for a curable infectious disease, and how PCORI-funded research results may be a resource as Congress considers telehealth policies.

The briefing is open to the public and media.
