Scottsdale, AZ – Rep. David Schweikert will host his third annual art Congressional Art Competition in Arizona for high school students in the 6th District. Today he announced the event date for this year’s event:
Who: All interested 9-12 grade students in Congressional District 6
What: 2013 Annual Congressional High School Art Competition
When: Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. MT
Where: Phoenix Art Institute

This is an event to showcase the tremendous talent of our young high school artists. The art contest is a part of a nationwide Congressional High School Art Competition sponsored by the Congressional Arts Caucus.
The winning piece of artwork from Arizona’s 6th District will be displayed on the United States Capitol campus along with other Congressional winners for one year. The runners up will be displayed in a prominent place in Schweikert’s Washington D.C. and District Offices.
The entries must be submitted to the Phoenix Art Institute in Phoenix on Friday, April 19 between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Winners will be announced at this same location at a ceremony on Saturday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. All are invited to attend this event.
