REP. SCHWEIKERT VOTES TO REPEAL OBAMACARE

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House voted in favor of H.R. 2, a bill that repeals ObamaCare. Congressman David Schweikert (R-AZ) released the following statement after the vote:

“Today we made good on our promise to the American people. It is clear that House Republicans heard the message of last November loud and clear. The American people do not want a massive government bureaucracy nor its $2.7 trillion price tag.

“Arizonans are now one step closer to economic freedom with a healthcare plan that does not jeopardize every corner of the free enterprise system or restrict an individual’s right to healthcare choices.

“In the weeks ahead, we will work to reduce costs while creating systemic changes in the patient-doctor relationship. Today, we repealed a law that put a bureaucracy in the doctor’s office, increased our debt and limited individual freedom. Tomorrow, we will vote to replace it with new legislation that will keynote patient-focused health reforms that will allow hard working Americans access to affordable care.”
