“It was a pleasure to host a virtual roundtable today to discuss the benefits we have seen from expanding telehealth services this last year. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, my legislation to expand access to telehealth services was signed into law. Since this change, we have seen a dramatic increase in telehealth’s utilization and effectiveness. Now that patients and providers are more comfortable using telehealth, we must fight to make patient access permanent, expand the adoption of disruptive health care technology such as at-home tests and remote patient monitoring, and develop more state of the art tools to foster a healthier society. I want to thank each of our panelists for joining to share their expertise in utilizing this expansion of telehealth, and to discuss what we can be doing to provide convenient, effective, and affordable care for all Americans.”

Participants joining the virtual event included:

James Roxburgh, CEO, Telehealth, Banner Health

Dr. Paul Sieckmann, CMO, HonorHealth Medical Group

Dr. Jared Muenzer, COO and Physician in Chief, Phoenix Children’s Hospital

Dr. Vanila M Singh, Immediate Former CMO U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
