WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06) presented a “Small Business Spotlight Award” to the Pacific Dental Service Foundation, who specializes in dentistry for those with special needs. This small business award will recognize the nonprofit’s achievements as a specialized dentistry. After the visit, Congressman Schweikert released the following statement:

“Thank you Pacific Dental Services (PDS) Foundation Dentists for your work in our community to help individuals with special needs receive the dental care.” said Congressman Schweikert “It was great to meet this team and see first-hand their dedication to helping others and the change they are able to accomplish within the dental care industry.”

Background:

The Pacific Dental Foundation is a not-for-profit clinic that focuses its work on patients with special needs, as less than 10% of dentists treat patients with disabilities due to their lack of training and the patient’s reaction to procedures.

This foundation is being presented the “Small Business Spotlight Award” because of their charitable contributions to the local community, and their driven leadership in assisting the lives of those living with disabilities in the dental care industry.
