WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06) released the following statement after sending a letter to President Biden urging him to take immediate action to help prevent a global food crisis.

“I believe we have a moral obligation to prevent a global food crisis” said Rep. Schweikert. “The Biden Administration has the ability to act and help remedy this issue before it spirals out of control, and I have called on this Administration to do just that. We must look for creative solutions such as ensuring the free flow of foodstuffs by minimizing export restrictions of essential commodities. I am calling on President Biden to take immediate action and stop an impending global food crisis.”
