WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06) hosted local health officials for a Coronavirus roundtable. The group shared plans for how Arizona is working to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from every angle and the information services being provided to the Arizona community to stay healthy.

During the roundtable, Congressman Schweikert received a presentation from the Arizona Department of Health Services and learned about the current climate in hospitals from Honor Health, Banner Health, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Mayo Clinic. Representatives from Maricopa County and Scottsdale Fire Department were in attendance to provide an update on local government resources being deployed to combat the public health emergency.

I was pleased to hear our local health officials are ensuring Arizonans have access to timely coronavirus testing and are being provided with proper practices to stay healthy and prevent the spread of this virus.
