Congressman Schweikert Sends Letter To President Biden Urging Review Of LNG Exports

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06) sent a letter to President Biden urging him to conduct an interagency review of ways to boost Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) exports and expedite permitting for LNG infrastructure.

“At a time when our allies are reducing their reliance on Russian energy, the United States must step up and meet these energy demands” said Rep. Schweikert. ”By immediately conducting an interagency review of ways to boost LNG exports, the United States can begin the process of regaining energy independence while supplying the world with American natural gas. Despite recent reports that the White House is shelving this review due to environmental concerns, we know that this is a necessary step for American energy exports. President Biden can secure an easy victory for American energy, and I urge him to do so expeditiously.”
