WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06) released the following statement applauding introduction of H.R. 14, House Republicans Commitment to Defeat the Virus and Keep America Healthy Act. This legislation is comprised of provisions introduced by Members on the Ways and Means Committee, Energy and Commerce Committee, and Appropriations Committee.

“I am proud to see my legislation to reduce the medical expense deduction threshold for Americans battling high-medical costs, especially during the pandemic, included in H.R. 14, the Commitment to Defeat the Virus and Keep America Healthy Act. Each provision in this bill will continue our much-needed work to defeat this virus, help individuals safely return to work, and support our businesses working hard to re-open.
