WASHINGTON, DCToday, Congressman David Schweikert (AZ-06), a member of the Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee, released a statement of support following President Donald Trump’s signing of the United States and China Phase One trade agreement:

“Working to ensure the United States has access to free and balanced trade relationships has been one of my top priorities while serving in Congress. This deal will benefit all American consumers and reflects the work this Administration has done to further grow our economy.

Arizona knows the importance of strong trade relationships, and I am pleased to see the benefits this deal would create for our state’s commerce. I want to thank the Trump Administration for their work to further create strong and equitable trading relationship with China. While there’s more work to be done, I look forward to seeing how this agreement will create more jobs and trade opportunities for the United States.”
