Washington, D.C., February 11, 2015—Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) joined colleagues from the Arizona Congressional delegation today, on the floor of the House of Representatives, for a moment of silence to remember the life of Kayla Mueller.

“Today, my colleagues and I joined together for a moment of silence in honor of Kayla Mueller,” said Schweikert.

“There are no words to describe how deeply saddened Joyce and I are to have learned of Kayla’s death. Kayla dedicated her life to alleviating the suffering of others and helping those less fortunate. The compassion that Kayla demonstrated throughout her life serves as an inspiration for us all.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this tragic time.”
