Scottsdale, Ariz., October 28, 2014– Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) will join Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane and Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) Interim Director Glenn Costie at a press conference on Thursday October 30, 2014 to announce the VA's plans to open a Scottsdale-based clinic next spring. The 6880-square-foot space will house Primary Care, Mental Health and Laboratory services and is expected to provide care and services to as many as 3,000 veterans when it opens next spring.
The press conference will be held at the location of the new clinic: 11390 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale, AZ 85259 at 10:00 a.m.
“This new clinic space is a welcome step in the right direction toward improved care for our service men and women,” said Schweikert.
“Our veterans deserve accessible care that meets their medical needs upon separation or retirement from our armed services. This clinic plans to offer increased access to military veterans of Arizona's 6th District and the city of Scottsdale. I look forward to the completion of this transition and hope this new building can provide reliable support for our community.”
