Rep. Schweikert, Salmon, and Sen. Flake to Host U.S. Service Academy Conference
Scottsdale, Ariz., March 17, 2014—Reps. David Schweikert (AZ-06), Matt Salmon (AZ-05) and Sen. Jeff Flake (AZ) will host an informational session on Saturday March 29, 2014 for Arizona high school students interested in attending one of the U.S. Service Academies.
High school students and their families can learn about the scholarship opportunities available through the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (USMA), the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA).
Representatives from each U.S. Service Academy will be present to answer questions and there will be a presentation by current U.S. Service Academy cadets who will highlight the benefits of attending a service academy.
Members from Reps. Schweikert, Salmon and Sen. Flake’s staff will also be on hand to explain the Congressional nomination process. All Arizona high school students, regardless of age, are welcome.
