Scottsdale, Ariz., February 24, 2014—Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) is now accepting applications for a full-time communications department intern for Summer 2014 in his Arizona office.

Undergraduate students majoring in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Graphic Design can gain experience in a highly professional, fast-paced, hands-on environment. The application deadline is March 28, 2014.

Candidates should be motivated, detail-oriented, multi-tasking and service-oriented students looking to learn more about the responsibilities of a Congressional communications office.

Strong ties to the Sixth District of Arizona or the state of Arizona are preferred. Priority will be given to current college students in applicable fields of study.

This position will report to the Communications Director. Responsibilities will include assisting with social media, graphic design, press releases, press clippings, newsletters and more.

• Three letters of recommendation
• Three clips or writing samples.
