Rep. Schweikert Holds Christmas Toy Drive

Scottsdale, Ariz., December 5, 2013 — Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) and his staff are collecting toys for children staying in Scottsdale Healthcare’s Pediatric Unit over the holidays.

“You can help us make the holidays a little brighter for children who are spending the holiday season in the hospital,” said Rep. Schweikert. “The gift of a toy is a bright spot for the children and families who may not otherwise have the chance to celebrate the holidays because of an illness or injury.”

Toys must be new and unwrapped; stuffed animals must have tags attached.

Toys must be dropped off at the District Office by Thursday, December 19, 2013 by 4:00 p.m. Scottsdale Healthcare provides the toys to children hospitalized during the holidays.

Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center is the Northeast Valley’s only hospital with a dedicated pediatric unit, pediatric intensive care and pediatric ER. The 28-bed pediatric inpatient unit offers care for children ages infant through 18.
