Scottsdale, Ariz. –Congressman David Schweikert (R-AZ) today announced openings for full-time, unpaid fall internships in both his Washington D.C. and Arizona offices:
The office of Congressman Schweikert is seeking full-time internship applicants for the 2013 fall term (August through December) in both Washington, D.C. and Arizona. Please note that this is an unpaid internship. Applicants must have successfully completed two semesters of college.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail oriented and able to multi-task, possess excellent communication skills, and interact well with constituents.
Responsibilities in the Washington, D.C. office include answering phones, giving tours of the Capitol, and assisting with constituent correspondence.
Responsibilities in the Arizona office include answering phones, assisting with constituent casework, correspondence, and events.
Preference will be given to those who can start at the end of July. Arizona ties are also preferred, but not required. Interested candidates should email a cover letter and resume with “Fall Internship Applicant” in the email subject line.
