Scottsdale, Ariz. – Congressman David Schweikert honored winners of Arizona’s 5th Congressional District essay contest Tuesday evening. He and his staff hosted an awards ceremony and reception for the winning students and their families. Below are the winners in each age category:

“I am extremely impressed by all of the entries we received this year. I want to congratulate the winners in each category for a job well done. This essay contest proves, once again, that the nation’s finest students come from Arizona."
 

Age 9-12:

First Place: Tianna Kilcline

Age 16-18:
Third Place: Jacob Wells
Second Place: Skylar Cohen
First Place: Rebecca Cohen-Perez
