REP. SCHWEIKERT STATEMENT ON NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS WEEK

Washington, D.C. – Congressman David Schweikert (R-AZ) honored Arizona’s small businesses this week during the 48th annual observance of National Small Business Week:

“Small businesses are not only the economic well-being of Arizona’s 5th district, but the backbone of our country’s economy.

“With over 27 million small businesses in America, it should be no surprise that these employers represent 99.7 percent of all businesses and have created 64 percent of all new jobs over the past 15 years.

“It is imperative that we continue to unwind the bureaucratic red tape imposed by ObamaCare on small business and lower the tax burden on these job creators.

“I applaud the small businesses in Arizona’s 5th district for their hard work and recognize the special impact made by outstanding entrepreneurs and those who drive innovation, create jobs, and increase U.S. competitiveness.”
