Washington, D.C. – Congressman David Schweikert (R-AZ) unveiled a series of budget charts and graphs Thursday as a follow-up to his budget town hall presentation:

Rep. Schweikert’s budget presentation outlines the extent of our nation’s debt and deficit.

"It is important to note that these graphs depict just how bad the numbers truly are. Very few people understand the true severity of how bad the situation has become.

"In order to balance the budget, we would need to nearly double current revenues.  Short of that, we would need to cut every single dollar of defense, non-defense discretionary spending, and an additional $100 billion in entitlements just to stay solvent."
